Hanna and Barbera celebrate the adventures of Yogi Bear, living in Jellystone Park, who loves to steal “pic-a-nic” baskets. Yogi’s accomplice BooBoo, a bear cub, helps loot baskets from tourists. Yogi and BooBoo love sandwiches, sausages, cakes, chips, and fruits. In particular, Yogi prefers a layer cake glopped with pink and white icing.

Ranger Smith is no match for Yogi, and his sign admonishing tourists, “Do Not Feed the Bears,” is a constant source of ironic humor. Yogi Bear’s theme song says it all:

At a picnic table, you will find him there
Stuffing down more goodies than the average bear.
He will sleep till noon but before it’s dark,
He’ll have every picnic basket that’s in Jellystone Park.
